CMMI 5 Certification
In August 14, 2007, Vates became the first company financed by national funds to certify the highest quality standard known to the industry of the sector: CMMI Level 5. Until now, in the country, the only companies that have had such a standard are Motorola (in Cordoba) and IBM.
In this way, the local company positioned itself in the select list of the 270 companies in the world to have this international certification.
“We’ve been working on this for eight years, it is a dream come true,” assured Mario Barra, president of the company.
The new certification was presented at a ceremony at the auditorium at Siglo 21 University, where managers and employees of the company and of América XXI consulting company (who carried out the evaluations) participated. CMMI certification is granted by the Software Engineering Institute of the California-based Carnegie Mellon University.
