Informal Assessments

Process Quality

INFORMAL ASSESSMENTS
Assessments are very important because they enable us to validate the fulfillment of the established improvement plan in relation to the improvement project, and to establish future improvement plans, which will include the recommendations and deviations found in previous assessments.

All improvement plans include a series of assessments that must be carried out periodically. They allow us to measure the adherence of the organization’s process to CMMI practices and to correct, in a practical way, deviations found.

Assessments are informal when we do not invite a certified appraiser to carry out the maturity ranking of our organization, report to SEI and grant out assessment certificates.

For these assessments, we are based on SCAMPI Class B and C methods and, in a different level of detail (C minor, B major), the tools to assess risks and opportunities in the different process model areas. There are neither maturity rankings (representation by stage) nor capacity rankings (continuous representation), but they allow us to make a “gap analysis” and focus on particular areas that require attention.

They will be part of the consultant assessment team with experience in Assessment Team Members of formal assessments.
