CONSULTING SERVICES IN PROCESS IMPROVEMENT PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Its goal is to help the organization to implement the practices required by the CMMI
international quality standards, through a process improvement project, in order to
fulfill the required goals and reach the expected maturity level.
The implementation project of a process improvement model includes several stages
that begin with the recognition of a need for improvement and the performance of an
assessment of the current situation. After this first stage, there follows:
- Determination of desired situation
- Determination of actions to follow
- Action execution and monitoring
- Result evaluation
Its purpose is to establish an improvement plan based on the results of the process assessment, review its progress and the achievement of its goals together with the sponsor and improvement project leader, and coordinate the process consultants’ activities. The preparation of a process improvement plan prioritizes the opportunities to improve, defines evaluations, estimates resources, defines terms, critical success factor roles, skills, training needs, consulting and tool needs, among other project aspects.
